Environmental Noise is a general term describing noise from a wide variety of sources, including industrial, commercial and transport (road, rail, air and sea), but not including noise from entertainment or sport. Assessments are frequently required for planning applications, and the point of the assessment is to establish whether the noise is likely to cause a disturbance. If this is the case, then remedial measures need to be identified and put into place so that potential disturbance is brought down to acceptable levels.
We provide noise assessments for any type of noise source, which comply with all of the appropriate standards. If the assessment indicates that there may be problems with noise levels, we can also offer expert advice on how the noise may be mitigated.
