Wight Noise Ltd. is a fully independent, multidisciplinary acoustic consultancy which offers sound advice in simple terms across a range of specialist areas, including environmental, industrial and entertainment noise, and architectural and building acoustics.

Principal Consultant, Jonty Stewart MSc MIOA MIET, has over 20 years’ experience in acoustics and audio engineering, including over a decade 10 years lecturing in Higher Education. Coming into acoustics through sound engineering, he has been managing noise from outdoor events for Vanguardia Consulting since 2011.

Jonty takes an active part in the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC), being a registered Sound Insulation Tester and having sat for many years on the Registration Committee which oversees quality assurance schemes for several areas of acoustics, including precompletion testing and acoustics in schools.

In addition to consultancy, Jonty was instrumental in designing the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) Certificate of Competence in Building Acoustics Measurement (CCBAM), as well as its Irish equivalent (CCIBAM). He remains involved in these courses, having been appointed Chief Examiner for both by the Institute of Acoustics, and is a past Chair of the IOA Education Committee.

Jonty currently holds the position of Associate Director at RPS, where he works on an extensive range of challenging projects including Environmental Impact Assessments and Statements, Permitting, Noise at Work Assessments and other areas of environmental and building acoustics.
